Joyce Tyner

Carrie Joyce Tyner, Grandview, MO, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007. A memorial service will be held 1PM, Sunday, April 22, 2007 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO. According to her wishes, organ donation is planned to assist another in their struggle for health. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to; MCC Foundation Automotive Scholarship Fund, 3200 Broadway, KC, MO 64111. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Arthur Hand, Jr, Carrie Belle Barry Hand; and daughter, Anita Jean Tyner. Survivors include: husband of 43 years, Jerry Tyner, Grandview, MO; daughter, Carrie Sonia Tyner, Vandalia, MO; daughter & son in law, Sara Tyner KC, MO & SGT Jason Dieter, serving our country in Iraq; grandson, Alexander Samuelson; sister, Joan Murphy, San Antonio, TX; niece, Kay Murphy-Sohocki, Hobart, IN; and nephew, Donald Murphy, NY, NY. Joyce, as she was known, was born Feb 16, 1944 in Millegville, GA, and married Jerry March 29, 1964 in Lumberton, NC. She also lived in Albany, GA, San Antonio, TX, Seguin, TX and Grandview, MO. Joyce was a loving wife, and devoted mother. Her creative nature included hobbies, of crocheting, cooking, sewing, doll collecting, antiques, and painting. Joyce’s family would like to thank St.Luke’s East Hospital, Lee’s Summit, MO for their care and support during her last days.
