Allen June, 72 of Ashland, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 at his home. Allen was born August 15, 1939 to Melvin & Lillian (Johnson) June who preceded him in death. Allen married Shirley Tambke in 1984 who survives of the home. He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Sherri Schramm and her husband Joe, brothers, Kenneth June, Dennis June and his wife Rose, Rod June and Ronald June as well as a sister Darlene Pieper and her husband Denny. Allen was a Realtor in Las Vegas and Jefferson City for 25 years and enjoyed playing cards. A celebration of life is planned for Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the home. Memorials are suggested to Hospice Compassus, 3050 Interstate 70 Dr. SE #100, Columbia, MO 65201.

Shirley, I’m so sorry I never had the opportunity to meet Al but feel that I know him a little through my friendship with you. I know this is a very difficult time and I just wanted you to know that you have my love and support in your time of grief. I know you and Al had a wonderful life together and that you have many good memories that will help sustain you. Love, Gloria
We were so sorry to read about your husbands death. We are thinking about you and praying that God will help you through this difficult time.
I let Sam Land know and he sent an e-mail to the Class of ’63. We try to keep our classmates informed when we can.
I have thought of you often ever since I saw you in Hobby Lobby last year.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family. From what I learned from family members, Allen had a big heart. I have no doubt that there is a big card game being played in heaven with the June clan and Allen has joined.
