Juliana Golston Snelling Allen, 73 of Lone Jack, MO passed away October 3, 2013. She is survived by Wayne Allen, her childhood sweetheart and loving husband of 55 years; her sons and their spouses Daniel Allen and Leti of San Juan Batista, CA, Dean Allen and Mary of Lee’s Summit, Shawn Allen of Grandview, and her “extra son” Rick Noon and Tina of Lone Jack; grandchildren, Ryan, Seanna, Brooke, Ashely, and Josh; and seven great-grandchildren. She also leaves brothers Dale Snelling, Mike Golston, , and Chris Golston; sisters Ginny Pittman, Joyce Lara, Jacki Simon, and Nikki Golston, and numerous nieces and nephews. Juli’s kindness, love, and acceptance will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know her.
Juli will also be missed by all of the members of Friends of Lakeside Nature Center, where Juli volunteered for the last eighteen years. She worked to rehab and release wildlife saving the lives of countless animals. She also played an essential role designing informational brochures and the newsletter.
Following Juli’s wishes, she was cremated. Her family will host a celebration of her life at a later date. They ask that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in her name to the Friends of Lakeside Nature Center.
