Larry Gene Whetstine, 59, Independence, MO passed away March 28, 2012 at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence. Larry was born September 12, 1952 in Yakima, WA to Charles and Virginia Whetstine. Larry will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Cremation will take place. Services have not been planned at this time.

I want to express my condolences to the family. I am thankful to have the opportunity to connect with Larry, and met him very briefly as he stopped into the Phoenix area on one of his drives. I was wondering why I had not heard from him and saw that he had passed when I saw his Mom’s obituary. I was very much in shock to learn of this. He was very thoughtful, and helped me learn more of the Whetstine family history. He will be missed, and I am sorry to hear my family history partner has passed. I hope to be able to carry on some of the family history to others that may inquire of the Whetstine family history. My hope is that your family preserves the many hours he invested in Whetstine family history. My condolences go out to the family.
