I fondly remember my next-door neighbor, Mr. Triplett as someone who was always concerned about how I was doing, invited me into his home, and always looked out for me during my childhood. As I seek higher ground in my professional career as a educator of Black males, I often think of Mr. Triplett, his sense of humor and how he embodied the value of higher education, service and uplift to young black males, and the joy of leadership and fraternity.
