Craig C. Clifton, 56, Lone Jack, MO, formally of Independence, MO passed away February 19, 2003. Military graveside services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 26 at Floral Hills Cemetery. Friends may call 6-7:30 PM, Monday, 24th at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 61st and Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the fund for the Craig Clifton Grandchildren, c/o Blue Ridge Bank and Trust, 4240 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133. Mr. Clifton was born on February 19, 1947 in Kansas City, MO. He was a Vietnam Navy Veteran who received the Vietnam Service Medal with a Bronze Star, and the combat action ribbon. Craig was a member of the Noland Road Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was also an Eagle Scout, a warrior in the tribe of Mic-O-Say, member of A.P.W.A., and the Wood Carvers Association. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Marilyn Clifton, of the home; daughters and son-in-laws, Shelly & Daniel Vaughn, Raytown, MO, Jennifer & Chris Flandermeyer, Lee’s Summit, MO, Jana & Jason Stidham, Greenwood, MO, Jill & Brennen Garry, Lee’s Summit, MO; son and daughter-in-law, Billy & Erin CLifton, Raytown, MO; 6 grandchildren, and dogs, Ellie & Sophie.
