She was president from 1993-95, co-president in 1997-98 and served as state treasurer for six years. Helen and Bob are longstanding members of the Friends of the Rice-Tremonti Home, in Raytown (built 1844). Helen served on the board of directors for many years and was always willing to volunteer her time and extensive culinary skills for the group.
She very much loved the historical values of the Midwest, especially the Kansas City area. Born September 1, 1934, in Marshall, MO., she graduated from Marshall H.S., attended CMSU, and later graduated from Rockhurst University in 1984 with a B.S.B.A.
Helen enjoyed talking about cooking, politics, women’s rights and historical achievements, and would never turn down the opportunity to take a firm position in just about any subject brought forth.
Helen and Bob would like to encourage all those inspired to make contributions to the Friends of the Rice-Tremonti Home, in Raytown, Missouri, where Bob will remain a strong supporter and fund-raiser.
