To all of the Widner family…my thoughts and prayers go out to each and every one of you. I think Jim was a lot of things we all aspire to be…kind, funny, brave, a good friend…just to name a few. I never had the pleasure of shaking his hand in person but anytime someone has come into your life in any kind of form, there is always a loss felt when that person leaves even if it is to be in a much better place. He is the only man that has ever gotten away with calling me “Hussy” and I enjoyed every minute I had a chance to be in his company 🙂

When I received news of Jim’s diagnosis, I wrestled with what to say to him. We always were joking and laughing, and this wasn’t a joke. Jim sent me an inspiring reply about his faith in God; I was the one comforted. But then, that was Jim’s nature. Revelation 21:4 says: “and He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall no longer be any death; there shall no longer be any mourning; or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.” I can hardly wait to meet Jim in heaven. My prayers to all of his family and friends.
