Jane Collette Lund, dedicated daughter, devoted mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 53, at 10:30 p.m. on May 25, 2009, at St. Joseph Hospital after suffering an aneurysm three weeks earlier. Her daughter, Audra K’Neen Vroman, and sister Ama Hai, were present to witness her last breath on this earth. Jane Collette Lund was born April 7, 1956, in Omaha, Neb., to William F. Lund, deceased, and Diane D. Lund, who still resides in Kansas City, Mo. Jane is survived by her daughter, Audra K’Neen Vroman; mother, Diane D. Lund; sister Anne Mariette Lund of Springfield, Mo.; sister Ama Hai; and, although they did not share the same blood, did share the same heart, a brother, Sylvester James, Jr. Jane also leaves behind an 8-month-old grandson, Cruz Vroman, whom she loved dearly. In keeping with her wishes, Jane will be cremated. In lieu of funeral services, a joyous celebration of Jane’s life will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 29, at Governor Stumpy’s Restaurant at the intersection of Gregory Boulevard and Oak, 321 E. Gregory Bvld., in Kansas City, Mo.
