Julia Darlene Shelley Shick Thornton, 62, Kansas City, Missouri passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at Golden Living Center in Independence, Missouri on April 2, 2010. She was a life long resident of the Kansas City area. Julia was born December 11, 1947 and attended Raytown High School, graduating in 1967. Julia was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Shelley and her mother, Virginia Free. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Thonton; daughter and son-in-law, Todd and Brandy Anderson; daughter, Shelly R. Thornton; grandchildren, Kayla and Payton Thornton; brother, Edward John Shelley; and sister, Kathleen Sanders. A celebration of Julia’s life will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday May 8, 2010, at Soul’s Harbour Assembly of God Church, 17142 East 39th Street South, Independence, MO 64055.

Mom sorry I am about 10 years late on this I didnt know I could do this I miss u every day and have been lost with out u and took some wrong roads but 36 years old and doing good your grandkids are doing very well and I make sure they know who u are. I love u so much one day we will all be together I hope u are injoying seeing family on the other side I miss u all..
