Kathryn Kluge

Kathryn “Katie” LaCygne Savidge Kluge died on Sunday, July 16th in a head-on collision on Hwy. 7 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Clinton, Missouri. She was the daughter of Boomer and The Rev. Mimi Savidge. Boomer is employed at Ford Motor Company in Claycomo and Mother Mimi is the Rector at All Saints Episcopal Church in Nevada. Katie leaves a husband, Robert Jess Kluge and two daughters, Kalie and Maggie Kluge, all of Holt, Missouri. She also leaves two sisters, Susan Walkup of Wake Forrest, North Carolina, and Janie Custer of St. Joseph, Missouri; and a brother, T.J. Savidge of Kansas City. Her nieces are Hayley and Lauren Walkup of Wake Forrest, and Gracie Custer of St. Joseph; and one nephew, Ethan Custer of St Joseph. She also leaves a grandmother, Tralucia Franklin of St. Joseph; an uncle, Bill Franklin; and four aunts, Lucia Chastain of Southern Pines, North Carolina, Susan Roth, Jeannie Franklin and Cynthia Michalski, all of St. Joseph; and 16 cousins. Robert’s parents are Harry and Bonnie Holding of Kansas City, Missouri. He has three brothers, Nick Kluge of Parkville, Donnie Kluge of Meta, Missouri and Doyle Kluge of Kansas City. His grandfather is Ralph McCall of Meta, Missouri. She was a graduate of Central High School, St. Joseph and received her paralegal certification from William Jewell College, Liberty, Missouri. She was employed as a paralegal at The Law Office, Parkville, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Kluge Memorial Fund for her daughters education at First National Bank, 100 W. Walnut, Nevada, MO 64772.

    Love you Katie and I miss you every day. Every time I see a butterfly I hope it’s your spirit visiting. The say a cardinal is a prayer sent from someone in heaven. We sure have a lot of them here. However, I must confess that I keep the bird feeders full with food that attracts them.
