Robert L. Gross Bob, 75, died August 26, 2009, in Kansas City, Missouri after a long fight with cancer.
Bob was born on September 19, 1933 in East Orange, New Jersey. He was the second of five children.
Bob graduated from Bloomfield High School in New Jersey in 1952.
Bob proudly served his country in the Navy from 1952 to 1956 during the Korean War. Bob spent the remainder of his life in the construction industry, including operating his own construction business from 1980 to 2006. His handiwork can be seen in many of the fine homes and businesses in the Kansas City area.
Bob enjoyed working and spent most of his off hours kibitzing with friends at the local diners.
Bob is survived by his wife, Thelma, his two sisters, Barbara and Mary, and his first wife, Joan, and their five children, Robert Jr., Bert, Roger, Laura, and Glen. Bob is further survived by his nineteen grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bert, and one sister, Gail.
His family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations are sent to Kansas City Hospice.

I am sad to hear of Bob’s passing, but am grateful to have had the opportunity to call him a friend, as well as my brother in arms. I will miss you, Bob. Rest well brother.
