Roger Allen “Guy” Moreland, 70, of Marceline, MO passed away October 19, 2009. Roger was born on October 3, 1939 in Marshall, MO. A graveside memorial will be held at Vohner Cemetery in Keytesville, MO on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 2 p.m. Roger is survived by his loving wife, Twyila (Wilson) Moreland to whom he was married to for 45 years. Other survivors include three sons, John, Walter and his wife Joan, and Kevin Moreland; four sisters, Goldie Ann Christian, Dona Beth Fox, Connie Sue Tellman, and Bonnie Lea Helton; one brother, William Harvey Fox; four grandchildren, Taylor, Mason, and Chance Moreland and Hannah Cordray; and one great-grandchild, Jamie Hawkins. He was preceeded in death by one daughter, Johnna Moreland, one sister, Henrietta Fox Clark, and his parents, John and Madonna Fox. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Vohner Cemetery Fund in care of Regional MO Bank, 400 W. Bridge Street, Keytesville, MO 65261.

Bradley emailed this to me but I didn’t get it until after the memorial, I’m not sure I could of read it without getting choked up anyway.
Mom,if you could please say the following on my behalf about Roger:
Whenever i think about Roger and my experiences with him it strikes me at how much he influenced how i grew up. Besides my father he is one of the biggest reasons why i became so infatuated with the outdoors. I remember one of the things he would say when i began deer hunting was,” take one bullet hunting with you if you caint (pronounced as so)kill it in one shot, then you aint a real hunter”. Combine that with his infamous story about shooting and having to eat blackbirds and you can safely say that Roger is one of the reasons i am going to be a wildlife biologist. He taught me about patience and conservation, and about the outdoors in general. For all his faults and stubbornness, and all of his sarcasm, you could always tell that he did so because he cared. It is safe to say that im going to miss Roger, but i will always remember what he taught me.
