William Lund

William “Boompa” Lund, 77, Kanmsas City, MO passed away August 6, 2003 at his home. The family will welcome friends to a reception to celebrate his life, Tuesday, August 12th from 4:30-7:30 PM at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to KC Hospice, Creighton University, or Monastery of Saint Clare, 3626 N. 65th Ave, Omaha, NE 68104. William was born February 14, 1926 in Battle Creek, NE. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. William graduated from Creighton University and went on to be a TV producer and director in Omaha and St. Joseph, MO afnd finished his career at Research Medical Center in administration. He was an avid KC Chiefs fan since the arrival of the Chiefs to Kansas City. William was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: wife of 53 years, Diane, of the home; daughter and son in law, Anne and Tony Kilkenny, Springfield, MO; daughters, Ama Melander, Santa Fe, NM, Jane Lund, KCMO; son and daughter in law, Sylvester and Licia James, KCMO; grandchildren, Eric James, Malik James USMC, Brian Kilkenny USAF, Seneca Melander, Audra Lund-French, Kyle James, Aja James; and beloved dogs Fred and Ginger.
