Dan E. Thompson, 59, passed away May 3, 2005. Memorial services will be Saturday, May 7, 10:30 a.m., at St. Matthew Episcopal Church, Raytown. Dan was born in Albuquerque, NM, on Oct. 23, 1945, to Joseph Ellis Thompson and Gladys Louise Talmage. He grew up in Columbia, MO, and graduated from Hickman High School in 1963. While Dan worked in the sales industry, he and his family moved often. He was known for his “One Liners.” On July 8, 1978, he married Mary Ann Yearout. In Nov. of 1988 he was confirmed in the Calvary Episcopal Church in Sedalia, MO. Dan is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, of the home; two sons, Charles Curtis Thompson, and wife, Randa, of Clinton, MO, Jeremy Thompson and wife, Lisa, of Grain Valley, MO; one daughter, Danielle Sebring and husband Curtis, Blue Springs, MO; one granddaughter, Chelsea Nicole Thompson, Clinton, MO. Also surviving is a sister, Judy Ballard, and husband Doug, of Columbia, MO; and one brother, Harvey Neal and wife Diane, also of Columbia, MO. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Carl Neal, and a sister, Carla Splaine, of Salem, MA.
