Terry Cole

Terry Franklyn Cole, 69, son of Frank & Frances Cole of Emerson, passed away January 20, 2008 at his home in KCMO after battling lung cancer. Although Terry spent more than 30 years in the KC area, he kept close ties to his roots in Iowa. His loving wife Linda passed away only 1 week prior. Also, preceding him in death were his parents Frank & Francis Cole and his brother Alan. Terry was an avid writer who loved doing medical research for his book about The Engineering of the English Language. He loved spending time with family and friends, whether it was playing bridge, telling stories, or taking a trip in his motor home. For him, it was more than just the destination-it was honoring connections. Terry was never happier than when he was spending time with his grandson Avery. He is survived by his son Loren and grandson Avery of Independence, MO; daughters Sheri Cole & Leslie Block and granddaughter Felisha Block of Highlands Ranch, CO; daughter Claire Cole and grandson Juan of Evansville, IN; brother Trent Cole of Vail, CO; sister Cindy Mabary of Littleton, CO; and his aunt Marjorie Gipe of Shenandoah, IA.
