Nina Deliah Miller Orndoff, 97, Independence, Missouri passed away August 23, 2020.
She was born on September 5, 1922 to Claude & Virginia Miller. Nina was preceded in death by: sister, Wanda Jean Miller and brother, Francis Albert.
Nina married James Donald Orndoff in October of 1941. Over the next several years they had five children. Donna Jean Orndoff (Dimitras), James Leslie Orndoff (who is deceased), Beverly Lynn Orndoff (Levengood-Jones), Gerald Edward Orndoff (who is deceased), and twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Nina loved working at Bay Pines VA Medical Center with the paraplegic veterans. She made many good friends, from both patients and peers. Nina also enjoyed reading, especially mystery novels. Learning the computer in her late 80’s, a challenge that she especially enjoyed and then she moved on to be prolific in
adult coloring.
She was a devoted mother, a great role model, with a quiet & sweet spirit. She was
greatly admired.
