Theresa Macias, 80, the Lord took her soul peacefully in her home on October 20, 2020.
Theresa was born October 12, 1940 in Kansas City, Kansas to Ernest and Ernestine Lopez.
Theresa lived her adult life in California, she retired from the Military Exchange with the United States Air Force. After her husband’s passing, Theresa moved back to Missouri to be with her siblings. Theresa was an active member at Vesper Hall Senior Community and a member of St. John Lalande Catholic Church in Blue Springs, MO.
Theresa was married to Gabriel Macias of Wilmington, CA, he preceded her in death. Theresa is survived by her two children, son Robert (Jennie) Christopher Guy and daughter Victoria (the late Thomas Wasson) Lynne Guy and six grandchildren: Jake, Amber, Tommy, Aaron, Gregory, Christian and six great grandchildren.
Theresa is also survived by her loving siblings whom she was reunited with for the past six years, Lydia (David) Hurtado, Irene Gonzalez, Mary (Alfred) Zuniga, Ernest Lopez, Rosalinda (Gene) Letterman, Robert (Mary) Lopez, Charlotte (Theodore) Sanchez and Starlette (Frank) Griswold.
She was preceded in death by: parents; husband; daughter, Julie Dolittle; brother, Emanuel Lopez; brother-in-law, Lupe Gonzalez; and sister-in-law, Christine Lopez.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and medical staff at St. Mary’s Hospital and Centerpoint Medical Center who attended to her care over the past eight months.
Per Theresa’s wishes there will be no visitation. Theresa will be reunited and laid to rest with her husband in California.
We love you and you will be surely missed. May you have everlasting life in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ our savior. Your new spiritual body, that will replace your old physical body, in heaven will never see suffering, and pain, ever again. God and all the angels in heaven will surround you with love an happiness for all eternity.
My deepest condolences to my brothers and sisters. Our sister Theresa is with the reat of our family in heaven. She will truly be missed. I will always remember the long conversations we had in Spanish which she rather speak to me in. In Loving Memories your Sister Irene .?
My condolences to my father-in-law and all my extended family. Aunt Theresa was a sweet lady and my youngest daughter Teresa remembered story she told her the reason she spelled it with an h. Love and miss you Aunt Teresa.
