Tricia Christine Anderson Jones

Tricia Christine Anderson Jones, 45, of Grain Valley, MO, passed away June 9, 2021 at Research Medical Center of complications from Covid-19. Tricia was born April 10, 1976, in Kansas City, MO, and lived most of her life in the Kansas City area. While Tricia grew up in Albuquerque, NM, she always loved KC and moved back permanently as a young adult. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on June 17, 2021, at Blue Springs Christian Church, 7920 Rt-7 S, Blue Springs, MO. A visitation will be held beginning at 3:00 p.m. on the same day.

Tricia worked for the Social Security Administration and enjoyed helping people with their many questions and concerns. She took great satisfaction in being able to help people with longstanding issues that no one else had been able to resolve. She consistently received accolades both from SSA clients and managers for the high caliber of work she delivered. Tricia previously worked a security guard at Children’s Mercy Hospital and an EMT for Kansas City, MO; she recently went back to school to work towards a degree in Business Logistics. Her plans were to continue her studies in the fall alongside her daughter, a 2021 graduate of Grain Valley High School.

Tricia was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and desired that everyone she knew would come to the knowledge of him. One of her favorite things to say was “If He brought you to it, He’ll bring you through it,” affirming her steadfast belief that God would give her strength for whatever life threw at her. It was this strong faith that kept her going through a divorce, illnesses with her kids, and other upheavals in her life. Tricia thought the world of her pastor, Dave Fernau, of Blue Springs Christian Church, her home church for the past several years and she volunteered for community outreach programs whenever possible.

Tricia is survived by her two children, Adriana Jones, 18, and Branigan Jones, 13; her mother, Debora Carmichael, 64; her brothers, Michael Anderson, 46, and Jason Anderson (wife Tara), 43; ex-husband, Kieth Jones, 49; three nieces, Eden Anderson, 17, Saelah Anderson, 13, and Avie Anderson, 9; and one nephew, Aaron Anderson, 21.

The family sincerely thanks the nursing staff and doctors at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Blue Springs, MO, and Research Medical Center, Kansas City, MO, who fought hard to try and save Tricia’s life.

Flowers are welcome, as Tricia loved them in all colors, or donations can be made towards the children’s educational fund in care of their grandmother, Debora Carmichael.

I was in her SSA training class. Tricia was the sweetest woman you’ll ever meet. Her smile would light up the room. She had the warmest embrace ever when she hugged you. Well God had chosen the right person to be in his army. I will miss you girl.

I was in the training class with Tricia. I’m heartbroken that she’s gone. Her hugs, smiles, faith made the dark days better. I will miss seeing her at work. She was the example of how we should treat others.

I wii never forget Tricia trying to “update” my makeup when she was a young teen. Deb was on a trip and I was keeping an eye on the kids. Tricia spent almost an hour on my face and, while it look rather pretty, it felt like I was in stage makeup! Than God this was before cellphones with cameras!

God’s peace and strength to you all as you miss your daughter, mom, sister, and friend.

Please accept my deepest condolences. My heart aches to hear of this very sad news. Tricia was such a joyful and delightful person to work with at the Social Security Administration. She had such a great energy about her and I loved all of my daily encounters with her. She was such a positive person as well as just so funny. 🙂 We shared lots of laughs! She will be deeply missed at SSA. She was truly a wonderful human being.

She looked like a very kind person. I am profoundly sorry for the pain the children are feeling. She was far too young to be taken.

God alone is the giver and taker of life, regardless of a vaccine. To die is gain for those of us in Christ! May God continue to bless the family with His sovereignty!

I too am a 45 year old mom, and a believer. I wanted to let you know I was vaccinated this week in part due to your mom’s story. Praying for your family.??
