Jacqueline “Jackie” Marie Smith

Jacqueline “Jackie” Marie Smith, 50, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away in her home on June 5, 2021. Jackie was born in North Kansas City, MO on October 10, 1970. A memorial gathering will be held from 2:00pm – 4:00pm on June 17, 2021 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64133. Jackie was the person you wanted by your side. She was fiercely loyal, independent, and strong. Most importantly though, her superpower was being able to light up a room in just a moment. No matter the hardships or rough patches our mother went through, she always made room for the things most valuable to her. Unsurprisingly, animals were close to the top of that list. She cared for animals like they were her own and even spoke to them in a way we won’t soon forget. She may not have had the chance to visit a safari in person, but we can all take peace in knowing that she is seeing beautiful things that none of us could ever dream of. Elephants have always had a special place in our mothers heart. Her deep fascination was a product of their loyalty, pride, and remembrance.

Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos of 15 years.

Survivors include: three children: Alicia, JuanCarlos, and Armando; mother, Catherine Smith; brother, Ronald Smith.
