Margarita Berdos Alemania, 86, passed away at the home on June 7, 2021, in Overland Park, Kansas. She was born on July 20, 1934 in Hindang, Leyte, Philippines. She joined her husband, Genaro, in the United States in 1967 with their daughter, Gemma.
She worked in the shirt factory at Woolf Brothers, Mark Shale and retired from Halls as a seamstress. She also sewed costumes for the Sinag-Tala Dance Troupe. Her favorite hobbies were playing Mahjong and going to the casino. She was a Member of the Filipino Association of Greater Kansas City and Redemptorist Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish.
She was preced in death by her 14 siblings and her husband Genaro. She is survived by her daughter, Gemma; son-in-law, Richard Snyder; and grandchildren, Richard Jr. (Richie) and Alexis Snyder.
Memorial service will be held on June 18, 2021 at Redemptorist Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3333 Broadway Blvd, Kansas City, Missouri 64111, at 9:30 A.M. followed by a visitation/reception in the banquet hall.
