John (Jack) Joseph Liddell, Sr., 78, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on January 27, 2022, peacefully at home with his wife by his side. They were married 45 years, 361 days before his passing. A celebration of his life will be held at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, Raytown, Missouri on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 2 to 4PM. Jack was a loving spouse, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved to bowl, fish, golf, watching football and court TV, nature, and a good glass of scotch. He was a wonderful role model and the king of all “dad” jokes. He will be missed dearly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him and we will cherish all the memories that he gave us. One of the last things he said was, “I am at peace”

Jack was preceded in death by his parents Jack & Darlene Liddell and his sister Pam Garcia (Liddell)
He is survived by his wife; Diane, his four children; Joleen, John, Jr. (Shannon), Heather (Tim) and Amber (Andy), along with his six grandchildren; Brandi, Hailey, Brady, Hannah, Jack, and Cody, and his three great-grandchildren; Matthew, Mackenzie, and Mason.

I too worked with Jack at Standard (Denver) a great guy, a good friend who will be greatly missed. Never was able to compete with him in golf but always enjoyed our outings. Stay well Diane, love you! Don & Charlene Heitman

Jack… you were like my second dad growing up. From pizza dinners, dad jokes, roller skating in the unfinished basement, Nintendo and movie rentals, summer concerts, so many halloweens, and you driving me and Amber (and sometimes Heather) around…. I’m at a loss for words… so much love to you, Diane, and especially Amber and Heather. My heart is broken. Love to all of you ??

Thank you Jack for being such a great brother. To Diane for being the best wife to you. For helping make us a very close big family. You did not deserve to suffer the way you did, but there was not to be a cure. You fought the good fight and were so brave. You were and always will be Loved and remembered for being the Hero that you were. Rest in Peace ? Til we meet again.
It was with great sadness to have heard of Jack’s passing. Our families friendship goes back a long way. We have so many memories of greta times together. Our prayers go out to All who knew Jack and his Family. May the Lord embrace Jack’s Family and shower then with Blessings of comfort and Love. We all loved Jack and will miss him greatly.
Dear Diane, Liz and I are so sorry to hear about the passing of Jack. I have so many fond memories of bowling with Jack and our many travels to bowling tournaments. Jack was always so fun to be with. Jack was so kind and generous with a big heart. You have such a beautiful family. You were blessed 45 years with Jack and the memories will live forever.
