Wanda Jean Phillips

Wanda Jean Phillips was born on January 27, 1929 to William Henry Phillips of Syracuse, NY and Hettie Ivera Phillips of Little Rock, AR. She passed away at the family home on Sunday January 23, 2022. Wanda would have been 93 on her birthday.

Wanda was born in Kansas City, MO, where she lived most of her life. She attended Bible college in Colorado Springs, CO graduating with a teachers degree in K-12. Later on in her career, she worked for Metropolitan Life and went on to obtain her real estate  license for Missouri and Kansas and bought and sold property. Wanda always had a big smile for everyone and was happy almost always. She really enjoyed helping others. She took great pleasure in spending time with her family, especially loved sitting down and having a meal with people.

Wanda had two brothers Dale A Phillips (Norva) of Shawnee, KS and Stanley I Phillips (Betty) of Independence, MO both preceded her in death. Wanda was never married or had kids of her own, but was instrumental in raising a niece and several nephews as her own children. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, there are too many to name.

One thing is for sure that she loved each and every one very much. Rest now, you will be missed very much.
