Pepe Inifi Rodrigues

Pepe Inifi Rodrigues was born on November 4, 1943 in Apia, Samoa. She is the fifth child, out of fourteen, of Tunufa’i and Kitara Inifi. She spent most of her life in Samoa, and in 1965 she married the late Sio Felaga’i Talato. The two share five children and an abundance of memories together. Pepe moved to Honolulu, Hawaii in 1975 and spent her days working at the Dole Cannery. She remarried Anthony “Tony” Rodrigues and relocated to Moloka’i. For almost the entirety her life, she traveled between Samoa, Hawaii, Australia, and Kansas City, where most of her children reside. For those blessed to know Pepe, they know how much her family treasured her. Her parents and her siblings were everything to her. The love for her nephews and nieces knew no boundaries which explains why she was the favorite aunty, grandma, and nana to so many! Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren adored her beyond measure. She was a faithful woman of God, and her time spent at Worship Centre Christian Church in Samoa every Sunday was a joy. She loved her church and her pastor, Viliamu Mafo’e. Pepe passed away on April 13, 2022. We will miss our dear mother, but we know just how blessed we are to have witnessed such a humble, God-fearing woman be the matriarch of our family.

Our beloved Pepe is survived by her five children: Elisapeta P. Talato, Eneliko (Lei) Pio, Isitoro F. Talato, Mikaele M. Talato, and Aukusitino P. Talato; nine siblings; 11 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

A Family Service will be held Thursday, May 5th, 2022 at 5:00pm. On Friday the 6th, the Main Funeral Service will commence at 11:00am and the burial will follow. Your mom was an extraordinary cousin. We enjoyed our vacation times with her and Tony in Molokai. She is with us always, first in her life time, then forever in our memories. Wishing you and your family loving memories to forever hold in your heart and comfort for days ahead. Rest in Jesus, cousin Pepe??????
