Justin Claassen Holt

After a courageous battle with cancer, Justin Claassen Holt passed away March 12, 2022 at his home in Kansas City, Missouri, surrounded by family, friends, and his dogs.

Justin was born in Denver, Colorado on September 27, 1981 to the late Johann Claassen and the late Kim Rhoden Holt. He graduated from Blue Valley North High School and was educated at the University of Kansas.

Justin loved both work and life. He was a “can-do” guy and spent most of his adult years in the construction industry. He loved his dogs, a cold beer, barbecue, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Lake of the Ozarks. No matter what, Justin always had a smile on his face.

Justin is survived by his wife Kara Dorsey Holt, his sister Rachel Holt, his stepfather Pat Holt, and his aunts, uncles and cousins. He was taken too soon from this life and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family asks that any donations in Justin’s memory be made to Wayside Waifs.

Justin, you were like a son to me. I miss our long talks about nothing at all. I was so proud of the
strides and accomplishments you made in your life in the last few years, I felt sure your dreams might
finally be realized. It is devastating to me that you were taken away so young. But you showed incredible
strength and courage in your battle with cancer and have taught me so much what love means. I hope
you have found your mom and dad and happiness together. I will always love and miss you, my boy.
