Michael Dennis DeWeese, 74, passed away August 29, 2022, at Armour Oaks in Kansas City. He wished for a simple cremation. A private service will be held with military honors at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO.
Denny served in the Air Force from 1968-1972 and received an Honorable Discharge. He worked as a cabinet maker for many years and was a member of the local #1635 Cabinet Makers Union. Denny loved to fish and work with his hands and spend time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, RK DeWeese and Helen Virginia DeWeese; and brothers, John Francis DeWeese and Thomas DeWeese.
Survivors include his sisters, Patricia Duncan (John) and Deb Carey; four nephews, Jeff, Zach, Paul, Casey; one niece, Maggie; and three grandnieces, Peyton, Hallie, and Emmie.
We would like to extend our deepest thanks to Karla and Edwin Monestel for their love and support through the years.
Michael was a few years ahead of me at Center High School. If he was here, I’d thank him for his service. We have a son who is Air Force, Instructor Pilot. I am searching for his sister, Deb Carey for our 50 th Class Reunion activities. It’s been a few yrs since she came to our 40 th. She had been in Waldo. Sending our condolences for your brother’s passing. Seems he had a full and surrounded by family activities. Bless your family with happy memories of Michael.
