Paul Howard Waters Sr., of Independence, Missouri, passed away on March 7, 2025, at the age of 76. A dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and servant of God, Paul lived a life of faith, service, and love.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Born on June 26, 1948, in Kansas City, Kansas, Paul gave his life to Christ at an early age at First AME Church, where he was an active member. Growing up, he was involved in the Boy Scouts, played baseball and basketball, and enjoyed playing the trumpet. He also earned the affectionate title of “Roll Eating King,” a testament to his fun-loving nature.
In September 1968, Paul answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force. His military career took him to various installations, including Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines, where he met and married the love of his life, Euphrocina “Precy” Therese Domingo, on February 5, 1973. Paul’s service included roles as a Training Systems Technician and a Packaging Technician, and he bravely served during the Vietnam War. He continued his military career with support roles during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
In 1986, Paul received orders to Hahn Air Base in Germany, where his spiritual journey deepened. He joined Full Gospel Fellowship, The Church of the Living God, International, and soon began his ministry by teaching Sunday school. His devotion led him to become an ordained pastor, leading and nurturing congregations. He furthered his theological studies and completed his doctorate in Divinity, dedicating his life to spreading God’s word.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Robert and Harriet Waters; his sister, Barbara Jean Waters-Hickan; and Jeb Godwin.
He is survived by his loving wife, Precy Waters; his children, Mary Ann, Paul Jr., and David; his daughters-in-law, Shannise and Sandra; his sister, Brenda Lee Waters; and his cherished grandchildren, Mia, Hannah, Ethan, David Jr., and Jeremiah. He also leaves behind his niece, Dominique, and great-niece, Adrianna Toran, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

Paul’s life was one of faith, service, and unwavering love for his family. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
