Heartland is Kansas City’s Low-Cost, Worry-Free Cremation and Funeral Home
Heartland Cremation & Burial Society was founded by Andrew and Elizabeth Loos in 2001. They come from a long line — four generations deep — in the funeral industry, and they recognized the strong need for affordable, yet respectful, alternatives to traditional funeral services offered by local funeral homes. Based in the heartland, their cremation and funeral home office in Raytown passionately services their family, friends, and neighbors in the surrounding Kansas City metro area communities. This location offers a chapel space for visitations, funerals, and memorials, as well as an onsite crematory.
Dedicated to Serving Our Local Communities
At Heartland, we know the freedoms we enjoy in America would not be possible without our nation’s veterans, so Andrew and Liz, along with all the staff, are proud to be able to offer special services for veterans. As a Veterans Funeral Care trusted provider, our highly-trained staff coordinates with the department of Veterans Affairs to complete the necessary Veterans Administration paperwork to get all the benefits our veterans have earned through their service to our country, including VA cash benefits, military honors, burial or inurnment in a National or State Veterans Cemetery, burial flag, and more.
And, if you would like to display your loved one’s flag in a nice wooden case, visit our online merchandise store. In addition, we have a large selection of cremation urns, keepsake urns, urn vaults, jewelry keepsakes, and more to commemorate your loved one in a style that is reminiscent of their spirit. Check out our selection online, or you can call or come by if you would like us to help you with your selections.
We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so call us at one of the numbers above whenever your family has a need. We can help you arrange for just the right final farewell to suit your family traditions and budget — whether it’s a full funeral, a viewing, memorial, or direct cremation.
