Alice Faith Bent Alice passed away on August 6, 2008 at Research Hospital. Her legacy is her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many dear friends and family. Her gift to the world was unconditional love. She was mother to many, friend to all. She is deeply loved and remembered fondly.

Alice will be missed,but she is with my mom again and I am sure they are having a great time.
She was a lovely gracious lady. I’m sorry I didn’t stay in touch,but I’ll miss her
Mother is with many who have been waiting for her …she has been made whole and free to be again.
Dear Mom,
I thought we had more time.
I thought you’d see more babies born
and hear more church bells chime.
I thought we’d play more gin,
root for each other to win…
then deal the cards again.
I thought I’d watch you embroider more
of the pillowcases I adore.
I thought we’d watch more soaps by day,
and laugh at Raymond’s family more nights;
I thought we’d watch more snow fall
and string more Christmas lights.
I thought you’d have more visits
with family and friends,
more time to talk with loved ones…
I did not sense the end.
But it was near…
the signs were there,
I’m glad I got to cut your hair,
and cook your favorite food that night…
serve you your favorite bedtime snack–
I know you knew I had your back.
So when you drifted off
into a sleep that was sublime,
You knew you would be going Home…
I thought we had more time.
True love never dies, we will look forward to meeting her again someday, after all she is just away.
