Allen F. Bower, 78, Independence, MO passed away November 23, 2009. Visitation will be held 12-1 PM, Monday, November 30, 2009 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, Raytown, MO. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM. Military graveside services will be held at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice. Allen was born July 22, 1931 in Owego, NY. He retired from Conrail in 1984 after 25 years. Allen was a member of the Masonic Lodge Niagra River #785, Scottish Rite of Buffalo Consistery, American Legion, and VFW. He was a Korean War, Army Veteran. Survivors include; wife of 46 years, Sandra, of the home; daughter, Susan Bower, KC, KS; son & daughter in law, David & Laura Bower, Independence, MO; grandsons, Scott & Seth Bower; and many nieces & nephews.
