Alois Herman Wenninger, 82, Leavenworth, KS formerly of Park Hills, IA, passed away February 12, 2004 at home. Cremation. A funeral mass will be held at a later date. Alois was born April 26, 1921 in Butternut, WI to Henry and Jospehine (Weber) Wenninger. He married Juanita Handy in 1964. Alois worked as a Quality Control Chemist at the Schiltz Brewery in Milwaukee, WI for 24 years. After retiring at the Brewery, he worked at the Federal Emergency Management (FEMA) for 16 years. He was a WWII veteran, serving his country in teh Army and Air Corps. Alois was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, William and Henry. He is survived by his wife, Juanita, of the home; brothers, Joseph Wenninger (Father Magnus), St. John’s Abbey, Collegeville, MN, James Wenninger and wife, Janet, Oakland, CA, John Wenninger and wife, Lois, Montgomery Village, MD and Bernard Wenninger, Kaukauna, WI; 2 daughters, Tammy Reyes, Leavenworth, KS and Nancy Panton, New Hope, MN; 3 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
