Anthony Burasco

Tony Burasco, 74, of Lee’s Summit , MO died Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at his home.

Tony, a first generation Italian-American, was a longtime employee in the record industry, working at One Stop Records in the 50’s, Musical Isle in the 60’s and Lieberman Enterprises into the 90’s; In 1992, he opened Tony’s Valle Vista Liquors on 291 Hwy. in Lee’s Summit; He later moved his operation to Tony B’s Liquors; Tony enjoyed a loyal clientele who seemed attracted more to his personality and wit than his prices and selection. Tony counted as his friends, Hall of Fame athletes and entertainers, store clerks and street sweepers and everyone in between. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Tony was preceded in death by his older brother Nugent and is survived by his son Drew of Kansas City, MO, daughter Toni Jo Killian of Ballwin, MO and son Doug of Kennesaw, GA., his long-time partner Debbie McCall, her two children Marci and Jeff, his brother Michael Burasco and sister Florence Fayard, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, countless friends and extended family.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Crossroads Hospice and to everyone who helped us through this most difficult time.

The entire Collins family wishes to send their condolences to the entire BurascoMcCall family! Tony was an amazing man. He was my dad’s best friend. We all have fond memories of his smile, laugh, and of course his humor. He was always able to put smiles on our faces. God will have his hands full with Tony and Dean (my dad)as they both loved to play practical jokes on each other. May God put his arms around all of you and comfort you during this time of sorrow!
