Barbara Cullen

Barbara Anne Cullen, of Columbia passed away, March 22, 2009 at The Arbors.  A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 28 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Barbara was born January 28, 1934 in Kansas City to Murrell and Ethel Breshears.  Barbara is survived by her children, Melody Zey, Marcy Coley and Monty Coley, a sister Mary Breshears three grandchildren, Nicholas Zey, Brandon Coley and David Jones, nine step-children including Tim Cullen and Margaret Willingham of Columbia as well as fourteen step grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Twyla Barnett.  Over the years Barbara worked real estate and retired from the University of Missouri in 1999.  She enjoyed working in her yard and cooking for her family, making the best chocolate cream pie ever.  Barbara loved animals, especially horses, dogs and cats.  She enjoyed feeding the wild birds and squirrels, using up to 100 lbs. of bird seed per week.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.  Memorial contributions are requested to Preferred Hospice, 1900 N. Providence, Suite 311, Columbia, MO  65202.
