Betty Jean Edwards, 90, passed away Oct. 1, 2007, at her home in Kansas City, MO, after a long illness with Parkinson?s Disease, Betty was born April 30, 1917, in Checotah, OK She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Edwards; a daughter, Virginia Conn; and a brother and sister. Survivors include six daughters, Beverly Pursley, Independence, MO; Phyllis Roberts Kansas City, MO; Trudy Spector (Arnold), Overland Park, KS; Shirley Pollack (Jerry), Miami, FL; and Joyce M. Starr (Harold), Columbus, OH; 11 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Cremation. A memorial service will be held Friday Oct. 5th, 2007 at 11 AM at The Village Presbyterian Church, 6641 Mission Rd, Prairie Village, KS 66208. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to The National Parkinson Foundation, or The American Heart Association.
