Betty Grewell

Betty Grewell, 86, of Columbia passed away June 19, 2007 at Columbia Manor Care Center. She was born on November 6, 1920 in Iowa to John and Zora (Smith) Hopkins. Betty was a homemaker all of her life, raising her children in Brisbane, California. Survivors include three children, Constance Murphy and husband Richard Murphy of Reynoldsberg, Ohio and Maxine (Mokie) McDonald and Douglas Grewell of Fulton, six grandchildren, Charlene Chiles and husband Richard Chiles of Fulton, Tina Branch and husband Robert Branch of New Bloomfield, Selina Pence of Independece, Richard Murphy of Germany, Denise Murphy of Reynoldsberg, Ohio, and Amy Grewell of San Francisco, CA, also surviving are nine great-grandchildren, Amber Austin and Erick Ross of Fulton, Carman Edwards of Holts Summit, Madisyn Branch of New Bloomfield, Courtney Bogart, Kindall Pence, and Connor Pence of Independence, and Madelyn and Matthew Murphy of Germany. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Grewell. Betty will be greatly missed by all of her friends and family members.
