Brenda Lou DeVina Dodson, 61, passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer in the morning of August 7, 2003 at her home. A brief memorial service will be held 4:30 PM, Saturday August 9, 2003 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society in Raytown, MO. Friends may call from 4-4:30 before the memorial. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Luke’s Hospice or Cancer Action. Brenda was born in Springfield, MO and spent most of her life in the KC area. She loved to travel, visit family and friends, and enjoyed collecting things. She will be lovingly remembered for her style, grace, wit and charm. Brenda is survived by her husband James Lee Dodson of 34 years; her brother Joesph DeVina; her two step-daughters Vanessa Oyler and Sheryl Diecidue; niece Avis Hartley and many other loving family members. Cremation.
