Brian J. Abbott, 48, of Columbia, MO formerly of Schaumburg, IL entered into eternal rest Saturday October 2, 2010 at Boone Hospital. Private family services will be held. Brian is survived by his wife Kimberly of Columbia, a brother; Vernon A. Abbott and a sister Sherry Abbott both of Schaumburg, IL and a brother Mark Abbott of Carol Stream, IL as well as an aunt Ruth Gilbert of Montreal, Canada. He is preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Frances Abbott. He served in the United States Army and the Army Reserves. Memorial Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Columbia Second Chance. He will forever be in our hearts.

Brian was not merely a client, but became my friend. His humor, keen intellect and wit will be missed.

Kim, I am incredibly sad to read about this. I can think of so many good memories with both of you. From getting to know you when I was tending bar at Trotter’s, to becoming good friends with you both over the years. I hope these memories make it somewhat easier to cope with the loss. Brian was an incredible guy, and we were fortunate to have him in our lives. Sending you a huge hug.
