Clarence “Wayne” Ashmore, age 67, passed away at his home on 8 August. Wayne was well known as a driving force in the renovation of Glendale Park. A memorial in his honor will be held at Hidden Valley Church, Independence, at 4 p.m. on 18 August. He is survived by his wife Lola, brother Ron, son Gary, daughter Sandra, stepdaughter Brenda, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to St. Luke’s Hospice.
