Donald J. Haley

Donald J. Haley, 78 passed away Friday, May the 4th, 2007. There will be no formal services. A private burial will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Don was born Oct. 22, 1928 in Kansas City, MO to John and Mabel (Wilson) Haley. Don was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John & Tommy, and a sister Jessie Brown. Don leaves a sister, Josephine Byrne of Raytown and numerous nieces and nephews. Don began his career at the Tower Theater in KCMO during WWII. After serving in the Navy from 1946-1949, Don moved to Hollywood, CA and started his career in the film industry. Don was the manager of The Wilshire Theater of Beverly Hills, was a movie producer, and a publicist for The Magic Castle and Mr. Milt Larson. Don had many friends including Mr. Richard (Curly) Sung of M.A.S.H. Don could recount from memory tales of Hollywood legend and lore from the Golden Age of the Stars. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Don’s many friends. Don will be missed by one and all.
