Though I was never perminantly assigned to Gary’s crew, I did have several oppritunities to work with him. The man was a wealth of knowledge on the fire service. If you were able to stump him with a question, (not likely) he knew where to get the answer. He was never to busy to help out his fellow man. No matter what he was doing he put it aside to do what he could to help. The fire department has had an emptiness since Gary’s retirement.
