Gladys Virginia Shonk was born in Bath, South Dakota on July 19, 1914 and died of Alzheimer’s disease in Olathe, KS on February 15, 2005. Her husband, Elbert Vernon Shonk preceded her in death in 1989. They had lived in Lakeland for many years and will be buried in Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date. Gladys received wonderful care from Kansas City Hospice. Memorial contributions may be mad to KC Hospice, 9221 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO 64114, the hospice of your choice or to Alzheimer’s Assoc.
