Herb McClanahan passed away Dec. 25, 2007 at Edgewood Manor in Raytown, MO. Herb was preceded in death by his wife Ruth in October of 2007. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Greg Epperson, a son David McClanahan, and a grandson, Troy Epperson. Herb was a Korean War Veteran as a member of the Marine Corps. In civilian life he worked as a Union Plumber, Local 8, for more than 30 years in the Kansas City area. There will be a memorial gathering to celebrate his life on Thursday January 3, 2008 from 6-8 PM at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64133, in lieu of flowers, memorials to The Susan G Komen Foundation, P.O. Box 413247, Kansas City, MO 64141- 3247. Herb never met a stranger and will be dearly missed by all.
