Herschel Goodwin, 81, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away at home on September 22, 2007. Herschel was as a hard worker, and a loving and giving family member and friend. Herschel was preceded in death by his parents Jackson and Priscilla (Bell) Devlin; brothers, George Goodwin and Eugene Devlin, sister Sweetie Hubbard, and a granddaughter. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Carmen A. (Smith) Goodwin. Surviving Herschel are three children; Ritchie Goodwin, Ronald Goodwin, and Cheryl Reliford, six grandchildren; Michael Mosby, Cory Mosby, Deirdre Goodwin, Ebony Goodwin Leah Reliford, and Melvin Reliford, and two great-grandchildren; Shayla Goodwin, and Karmen Rambo. Herschel is also survived by a host of loving relatives and friends, that will miss him greatly. A funeral service will be held Friday September 28, 2007 at 11 AM at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64133, with a visitation to be held one hour prior at 10.
