Howard J. Simpson, 79, Independence, MO passed away December 8, 2007. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, Dec 13, 2007 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO. Burial in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Raytown, MO. Howard was born Dec 27, 1927 in Macon, MO. He attended Macon HS before coming to KC in 1943. Howard was a WWII Army Air Force Veteran. He was a truck driver for Farmland Ind for 13 years until his retirement in 1989. Howard was known for his love of growing vegetables, fishing and working outside. Survivors include: wife of 44 years, Louise; children, Becky Dodd and her husband Dan, Steve Simpson and his wife Vicky, Dennis Simpson; and 6 grandchildren.
