James Meyers

James Allan Meyers, 61, a long tome resident of Merriam, Kansas, passed away January 11, 2010 at his home. A visitatation will be held at 9 AM and a Memorial Mass following at 10 AM, Friday, January 15th, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church 1800 SW State Rt. 150, Lee‘s Summit, MO. Mr. Meyers was born July 9, 1948 in Kansas City, Kansas. Jim was a Merriam Volunteer firefighter for 26 years. He was co-owner of AT Meyers & Sons Bus Company, he was involved in the development and implementation of special transportation services for the physically and mentally challenged children and adolescents of Johnson County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pauline Harriett and Arthur Turner Meyers. Survivors include; his wife, Lynne Meyers; sisters, Lynda Neer and Shirley Devine; brother, Dennis Meyers; children, Kelly and wife Ivone Meyers, Christopher Meyers, Jennifer Carter, Melissa Barosela, Matthew Arnold, Greg Arnold; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
