James (Jim) DeWalt, Topeka, died November 29, 2008 at Topekas VA Hospital. He was born February 18, 1935 in Lawrence, Ks. Jim worked as a Metal Lather and carpenter during his career. Jim was an avid outdoorsman. He spent many a day fishing and hunting pheasant and quail in Kansas. Survivors include a daughter, Karla Harrison (Kevin), Pittsburg, Ks; a son, Scott DeWalt (Barb), Topeka and six grandchildren: Gregory, Steven, Michael, Emily, Robert, Byron. A private service will be held for the family on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008. Memorial contributions may be made to VA Hospital Voluntary Service, 2200 S. Gage, Topeka, KS 66622.
