Joan (Jodie) Simms passed away Friday, January 2, 2009 at Columbia Healthcare.  Born Joan Isabelle Hewitt August 22, 1944 in Manhattan, New York she relocated to Columbia more than 30 years ago.  She was a friend and long time employee of the Watson Family.  She has been employed by Kraft Foods since June of 2000.  Jodie will be greatly missed by her many friends and co-workers.  A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.  Memorial gifts in her name can be made to Columbia Second Chance, 205 E. Ash St., Columbia, MO or the Central Missouri Humane Society, Big Bear Blvd., Columbia, MO.
