John Blair

John David Blair “JD”, 62, Raytown, MO passed away February 6, 2006 at his some surrounded by his family (and dog, Bonnie!). A memorial service as a Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, February 18, 2006 at Blue Ridge United Methodist Church, 5055 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO. A fellowship reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society and Kansas City Hospice. John was born July 16, 1943 in Camdenton, MO to Edgar and Nellie Blair. John graduated from Camdenton High School, Central Methodist College and Central Missouri State University. He earned his Master’s Degree in Mathematics and taught math at Raytown South High School his entire teaching career. John devoted himself to his family through his support and assistance in his children’s lives. John loved nature and outdoor activities. He was an adult leader in Boy Scout Troop #550 and was an Honorary Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. John was preceded in death by his parents and his only brother, Dale Wesley Blair. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; daughter, Kari Blair; son, Dale Blair and his wife, Marla; five sisters, Janet, Martha, Roberta, Donna, and Vera Kay; several nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of wonderful friends and neighbors who enriched and brought love and joy into John’s extended family life.
