 Jonathon Riggs Fletcher, 5, Independence, MO passed away April 3, 2010 from a brainstem glioma.  A Celebration of Life service will be held 4 PM, Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Kansas City Church of Christ, 10250 Quivera, Lenexa, KS.  A fellowship with Jonathon’s favorite foods will be held following at 5 PM.  Jon Jon was born August 6, 2004 in Independence, MO.  He was full of life and charmed anyone he met.  He loved to swim, play board games, ride his bike and four wheeler.  Jon Jon also loved monster trucks, helicopters, motorcycles and race cars.  Survivors include; father, David; mother, Tina; aunt, Shelly; brothers & sisters, Miranda, Melanie, Malachi, Kiersten, Deanna and Hunter.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dream Factory, www.kcdream.org and or Kansas City Hospice House, www.kansascityhospice.org (arr.     Jon is surrounded by more fun, love and perfect peace now than any of us could ever imagine. He was blessed to be in such a wonderful, loving and caring family with so many friends that loved him as well. And he was a blessing to all who knew him. Be with the Lord now, Jon, and we will play again 🙂

    I’m a co-worker of Miranda’s at the YMCA. I am honored that I got to meet JonJon in the last few months. He was a special boy, and you have a special family. He knew he was loved.

    Such a beautiful and wonderful boy. There is such a big whole in the world without him. Jonathon had the best laugh I have ever heard. He filled us with so much happiness and sunshine. He always made sure we knew how much he loved us. My best memories will always be of Jonathon asking me to make with him.(he meant bake) We made so many cakes, cupcakes and brownies. He wouldn’t eat them he only wanted to crack the egss. He was the best egg cracker ever. Thank You Jonathon for making with me and for making volcanos and playing buzz, and for sleeping in my chair with me. Jonathon was an amazing person, I was so lucky to have him in my life, even when he called me poo poo and said I was stinky. He was so funny! I love you baby and I miss you so so much! Aunt Shelly

    Such a precious,precious little guy that God lent to so many people for only a little while. You touched so many lives and left so many,many good memories. You were a BLESSING FROM GOD and will be missed by so many,but especially by your loving family and those who you shared so much of your love with.I’m so glad that I got the chance to be a small part of your life.

    I did not know Jonathan, but I knew of him. JJ kept me well informed. He was a beautiful, sweet boy. I was so very sorry to hear of him passing away. I know he was a fighter! I pray for you and your family. I pray you remember the good, happy times that you had with him. I know he brought you much joy. He was, is and will always be your little boy.     I will remember & consider it an honor & privilege to have taught Jonathan in Kid’s Kingdom when he was 3. I benefited from his shyness as he would usually stay by my side or on my lap during class! 🙂 He was a joy! I respect your family and how you have faced this difficult situation with faithfulness! I will continue to pray for your family!

    I was so blessed to have known JonJon. I will always remember “My Turkey”! From the very first time we met, JonJon was the “Turkey” and I became “Silly”. JonJon taught me alot about life and what truly matters most. He will always be in my heart and I look forward to the day when I shall see his cute little face again. Then I will get to say “Hi Turkey” once more.

    You were such a precious, precious little boy! I will alway remember your wonderful giggle when grandma made the sound of a turkey AND when I asked you if you wanted grandma to sing for you your answer was a weak head gesture of “no.” BUT grandma sang anyway and you smiled big yime!
