Julie was such a wonderful cousin to me. I remember when we would go to visit Grandma and Grandpa I was so excited to see Julie and the girls too. I remember attempting to stay the night at Allyn and Bev’s once. Julie played some game called Cooties with me, and let me try to play her trumpet. And I think we will all remember once when they came to visit us in Batavia how the infamouse Sammy the Snake recording came to be.

Julie, you are a wonderful person, cousin, mother and wife. I praise God that your sickness has been defeated and you have gone to your Heavenly Home.

Julie was an inspiration to all of us w her unwaiving faith & trust in the Lord. She never gave up hope no matter what the prognosis was nor would she allow the doctors to not give her every option & possible treatment available. She had a very strong will to live because she wanted to be here for her 3 beautiful daughters. May God bless her soul & watch over her children and help Larry be strong through this time. What a grace-filled person. My heart goes to Larry, Samantha, Linnea and Hannah, as well as Allyn, Bev, Linda and Peggy. May you be strengthened and comforted…

To all of Julie’s family, I was so sad to hear of Julie’s passing. Although many years have passed since we all played together while our parents played cards, somehow, it just doesn’t seem all that long ago. Know that we are holding you all close in our hearts during this time of loss. Trust in Him and He will bring you through. Craig and Becky (Doonan)Bower

I was honored to have worked with Julie in the Shawnee Mission School District. We would talk, laugh, and collaborate at music in-services since both of us were new music teachers to this district. It was always such fun and she was so helpful, funny, and inspirational. We all missed her when she moved on to another school district, but now we’re all deeply shocked and saddened. Our prayers for comfort and peace go out to her family. And yes she will be missed immensely by many colleagues, students, and parents.

We are keeping you in our thoughts in prayers as you find out what life after Julie is like. May God give you peace and comfort today and every day.
